You can also notice a planet. Try to find out which one is visible now. Finally try to pick out any constellations. Have fun!!

e) human interest pieces

g) ***What was the significance of this event in the history of flight?***
You will be expected to create a "Newsmagazine" type of report. This assignment can be completed with a partner and will be presented on December 3.

While we are in the lab please complete the following:
1) Read this file "What is Science?" Make point form notes in your own words describing what Science is, and why it is important.
2) Complete the following "What is Science Title Page"
3) Use the Internet to help you complete the "Do you get the GIST?" assignment. After you have complete the matching page, choose 4 areas of Science from the page and write a short paragraph about each.(What the field of Science involves, and why it is important.) Then choose one field of Science that you think is especially interesting and complete a brief report on it. This time explain why you think the field is interesting, what it involves, and why it is important.
Sept. 17: Please check our homework page. "I wonder..." projects are due on Sept. 29. Presentations will also begin on that day. Be sure to check "I wonder ..." assignment and expectations below.

For the next two weeks we will be working on an "I Wonder..." assignment. Some of the details can be found below. Most of the work should be completed during the school day, but students are asked to generate a list of things that they wonder about for homework and have it completed by Friday Sept. 5. students are also asked to discuss with their families and friends some of the things that they wonder about.
