April 27: We will continue our study of short stories next week, so please be considering ideas for your own story. (character, setting, atmosphere, plot, conflict, etc...)
April 19: For Monday you should be finished your first draft/notes on your Reflection of WORD NERD. Here is a reminder of the questions that you were to consider in writing your reflection:
1) Explain why you did, or did not like the book Word Nerd.
- please challenge yourself to use interesting, persuasive language and specific details where possible
2) What themes do you think the author(Susan Nielsen) was trying to present?
- once again please use specific details to support your opinion
We will begin working on editing and improving your rough draft on Monday.

Nov. 28: Complete a one paragraph "Reflection" on what you are going to do differently to make your story writing even more impressive next time. Use the comments written on your story, your writing folder, suggestions for the assignment recorded below, examples, and discussions from class to help you with your ideas.
Oct. 27: you will need to have at least 2 - 3 paragraphs of your "Spooky Story" completed by Monday. (This can be a rough, hand-written copy, as we are going to work on some editing and revising on Monday.) Please check below (Oct. 25)for some of the expectations that I will have for your stories.
